Torsen housing and Torsen differential, removing and installing - 6 Spd. Manual Transmission 02X All Wheel Drive

Note:
^ The Torsen housing can also be removed when the transmission is in the vehicle.





1 - Torsen housing

^ With or without vibration damper, depending on design

2 - Bolt, 10 Nm plus an additional 45 degrees 1/8 turn

^ 6x

3 - Spring

^ Fit onto flange shaft in Torsen housing
^ Outside diameter: approx. 35 mm

4 - Torsen differential

^ Can only be serviced by manufacturer
^ Pressing off ball bearing from Torsen differential
^ Pressing ball bearing onto Torsen differential

5 - Spring

^ Fit onto pinion shaft/hollow shaft
^ Outside diameter: approx. 31 mm

6 - O-ring

^ Always replace
^ Lubricate with gear oil

7 - Transmission

^ Mounting on assembly stand
