A/C Unit






A/C Unit

- Disconnect the attachments from the A/C unit, refer to => [ A/C unit Electrical Components ].

- Remove the heating elements and air guides from the A/C unit , refer to => [ A/C Unit Heating Elements and Air Ducts ]





1 - Screw

2 - Air intake shroud

Do not disassemble further.

With a recirculation flap and two back pressure/fresh air flaps.

3 - Bracket

For the refrigerant lines of the evaporator

4 - Air guide channel

Comprised of an upper and lower part.

5 - Evaporator

Check the refrigerant line insulation. It must be complete.

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Evaporator ]

Installing seals on evaporator, refer to => [ Evaporator ]

Check the type of seal at the connections and the refrigerant lines. These must be designed for the same type of seal => [ Refrigerant Line to Component Connections ] Refrigerant Circuit, Servicing

Removed evaporator contains refrigerant oil which must be restored to refrigerant circuit.

6 - Evaporator seal

Installing seals on evaporator, refer to => [ Evaporator ]

7 - Air distribution housing

Do not dismantle

With temperature flaps and air distribution flaps

The connecting elements from temperature flaps 1 to temperature flaps 2 installed in the air distributor housing are visible when the air distributor housing is removed, refer to => [ Connecting Elements between Temperatures Doors 1 and 2 ] Description and Operation.

8 - Front footwell vent

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Left Front Footwell Vent ] Instrument Panel Vents and Air Ducts
