ATF cooling lines, removing and installing - 09L, 6 Speed AWD A/T

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

^ Drip tray
^ Safety goggles

Note:
^ Read the rules for cleanliness when working on the automatic transmission.
^ Thoroughly clean all joints and surrounding areas before disassembling.

Removing

- Mark position of all ATF cooling lines in relation to one another with different colors to avoid confusion.
- Place drip tray V.A.G 1306 underneath.

CAUTION!
Wear safety goggles.

- Disconnect ATF cooling lines.
- Seal opened cooling lines with clean sealing plugs.

Installing

Installation is performed in reverse sequence. Note the following:

- Clean ATF lines.
- Lightly lubricate O-rings with ATF.
- First press ATF lines onto transmission or cooler by hand until they engage, then secure lines.
- Check ATF level.
