Intake Flap Motor With Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor, Removing And Installing

For installation location of the intake flap motor V157 , see Intake Manifold, Assembly Overview.

Removing
- Remove engine cover.







- Remove coolant expansion tank - arrow -.







- Open the open hose clamp on the charge air hose - 2 - and remove the hose from the throttle valve control module J338.







- Remove bolt - 1 - from coolant pipe.
- Open cable ties on the wiring harness on the coolant pipe.







- Remove bracket - arrows - from coolant pipe.
- Carefully pry off linkage from Intake Flap Motor V157 - 4 -.
- Disconnect all necessary electrical connectors and press coolant pipe far enough to the side so the intake flap motor V157 bolts can be accessed.







- Remove Intake Flap Motor V157 - 5 -.

NOTE: The illustration shows the intake manifold removed.

Installing
- Installation is in reverse order.
