Backrest Cover and Cushion, Sport and Standard Seats

CAUTION!
For vehicles with side airbags, observe safety precautions for side airbags.

Cover and Cushion, Separating from Backrest Frame





1 - Backrest

Removing

- Remove seat. Refer to => [ Seat ] Power Front Memory Seats.

- Mount the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136) on the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095).

- Attach the front seat to the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136).

- Remove the backrest. Refer to => [ Front Backrest ] Power Front Memory Seats.

- Remove headrest. Refer to => [ Power Headrest ] Power Front Memory Seats.

- Remove headrest guides. Refer to => [ Headrest Guides ] Headrest Guides.

- Remove the entry assistance. Refer to => [ Entry Assistance ] Power Front Memory Seats.

- Remove backrest cover pane. Refer to => [ Backrest Cover ] Power Front Memory Seats.

- Pry out lower grip channels - 3 - (Qty. 3).

- Disengage side grip channels - 2 - (Qty. 2).

- Remove backrest frame. Refer to => [ Backrest Frame ] Power Front Memory Seats.

- Remove side airbag. Refer to => [ Power Seat Side Airbag ] Side Airbags, Servicing.

- Pry out plastic tabs - 4 - (Qty. 5).

- Remove cushion with cover.

Installing

- To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.

3 - Lower Fastening Strips (Qty. 3)

4 - Plastic Tabs (Qty. 5)

Cover, Separating from Cushion





1 - Cover

If the cover is new - 1 -, then the cover - 1 - must be cut around the backrest release.

Removing

- Pry out grip channels - 4 - from plastic clips - 3 - using a screwdriver.

Installing

- To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.

- Replace damaged plastic clips.
