ATF, Draining for ATF Flush - 01J, Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

^ Triple square socket driver 3357
^ Used oil collection and extraction device V.A.G 1782

^ Vehicle on a flat surface

Note:
^ Observe disposal regulations!
^ Activate vehicle lifting mode before driving vehicle with air suspension onto hoist, that is, with all four wheels hanging.





- Loosen fasteners - 2 - and - 3 - remove rear noise insulation - B -.

Note:
^ There are different versions of the noise insulation on the different vehicle types.

- Place used oil collection and extraction device V.A.G 1782 under transmission.





- Remove ATF drain plug - A - using triple square socket driver 3357 and drain ATF.
- Tighten ATF drain plug again.

^ Tightening Specifications 24 Nm.

CAUTION!
Do not allow engine to run without filling ATF and do not tow the vehicle.
