Check conical discs for disc set "II"
- Check if conical discs - arrow - for disc set "II" are smooth and show no signs of wear.
- To determine if there is damage to the running surface, run your finger nail from the inside to the outside over the entire surface of the conical disc.
^ Very light wear grooves and damage cannot be detected to the finger touch.
^ If wear grooves or damage is detected, then the transmission must be replaced.
- Also perform a visual test.
^ The transmission must be replaced if there are single wear grooves which look polished (shiny), with black discoloration.
Checking running surface for bearing "G" for disc set "II"
^ The running surface - 1 - for bearing "G" must be like new.
- To determine if there is damage to the running surface, run your finger nail from the inside to the outside over the entire running surface.
^ Very light wear grooves and damage cannot be detected to the finger touch.
^ If wear grooves or damage is detected, then the transmission must be replaced.
Check conical discs for disc set "I"
- Check if conical discs - arrow - for disc set "I" are smooth and show no signs of wear.
Note:
^ Ignore - 1 and 2 -.
- To determine if there is damage to the running surface, run your finger nail from the inside to the outside over the entire surface of the conical disc.
^ Very light wear grooves and damage cannot be detected to the finger touch.
^ If wear grooves or damage is detected, the disc set "I" must be replaced.
- Also perform a visual test.
^ The disc set "I" must be replaced if there are single wear grooves which look polished (shiny), with black discoloration.
Check running surfaces for bearing "C" and bearing "D" (roller bearing for disc set "I")
Note:
^ Pay no attention to - arrow -.
^ The running surfaces - 2 - for bearing "C" and - 1 - for bearing "D" must be like new.
- To determine if there is damage to the running surface, run your finger nail from the inside to the outside over the entire running surface.
^ Very light wear grooves and damage cannot be detected to the finger touch.
^ If wear grooves or damage is detected, the disc set "I" must be replaced.
Checking bearing "C" (roller bearing for disc set "I")
- Check bearing "C" - 1 - for damage.
^ The roller bearing must not have any surface damage.

- To see if there is any damage on the roller bearings, run your finger nail over the entire running surface.
^ Very light wear grooves and damage cannot be detected to the finger touch.
^ If wear grooves or damage is detected, the bearing "D" must be replaced.
- Also check the running surface on the disc set "I".
Checking suction jet pump
^ Input shaft removed
- Through the opening in the transmission housing, check the contact surface - arrow - of the oil pipe in the suction jet pump for signs of wear, cracks or other damage.
^ The oil pipe contact surface in suction jet pump - arrow - must not have any noticeable, cascaded scoring or scratches.
^ In case of noticeable, cascaded scoring or damage to the wear surface by the oil pipe, suction jet pump must be replaced.
- Also check oil pipe.
Checking chain
- Check is the chain bolt shows in its rear side still a convex shape with rounded corners - arrow A -.
- If the shape of the chain bolt has been worn down through wear or chain-slip to sharp edges - arrow B -, then the chain must be replaced.
- Also check the running surface of disc set "I and disc set "II".
