Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM)
Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) - 01J, Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT)
Note:
^ Output DTM can only be performed if the selector lever is in "P" or "N," the engine is not running and the vehicle is stationary.
^ Output DTM is terminated if the engine is started, the vehicle starts to move or if a switch is not made within about 60 seconds to the next actuator. It is also terminated if the selector lever is moved to a position other than "P" or "N."
Test sequence
- Connect VAS 5051 Vehicle Diagnosis, Measurement and Information System. Ignition must be switched on.
Display on VAS 5051
- Touch - 1 - diagnostic function "03 Diagnostic Test Mode".
- Touch > button.
Display on VAS 5051:
A - First actuator being tested
1 - Back-up light signal
^ The Park/Neutral Position (PNP) Relay - J226 - turns the back-up lights ON and OFF at intervals for about 1 minute unless a switch has been made to the next actuator by pressing the > button.
If the back-up lights do not illuminate:
- Check Park/Neutral Position (PNP) Relay - J226 - and wiring using wiring diagram.
Note:
Any electrical malfunctions are saved in the DTC memory.
- Touch > button.
Display on VAS 5051:
A - Second actuator being tested
2 - Shift lock solenoid - N110 -
^ The shift lock solenoid - N110 - is triggered at intervals for about 1 minute (clicks) unless actuator diagnosis is terminated by touching the > button.
Note:
In addition, the brake symbol on the shift mechanism cover must illuminate at intervals.
If the solenoid is not triggered:
- Perform electrical test.
Note:
Any electrical malfunctions are saved in the DTC memory.
- Touch the > button.
Display on VAS 5051:
A - Actuator test is concluded
- End function "03 Diagnostic Test Mode" by touching < button.
