Brake Caliper Component Overview, Brembo
• Only use methylated spirits to clean brake parts.
• When carrying out repairs, install all parts supplied in the repair kit.
• New brake calipers are filled with brake fluid and pre-bled.
• Apply a thin coat of lithium grease (G 052 150 A2 ) to the brake cylinders, pistons and seals.
1 Dust cap
• Install onto the bleeder valve.
2 Bleeder valve, 12 Nm
• Apply a thin coat of lithium grease (G 052 150 A2 ) to the threads before installing.
3 Brake caliper housing
4 Seal, 32 mm piston
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Caliper Piston, Brembo ] Caliper Piston, Brembo.
5 Seal, 28 mm piston
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Caliper Piston, Brembo ] Caliper Piston, Brembo.
6 Piston, 32 mm
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Caliper Piston, Brembo ] Caliper Piston, Brembo.
• Apply a thin coat of lithium grease (G 052 150 A2 ) to the piston beforehand
7 Piston, 28 mm
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Caliper Piston, Brembo ] Caliper Piston, Brembo.
• Apply a thin coat of lithium grease (G 052 150 A2 ) to the piston beforehand
8 Protective cap for 32 mm piston
• Do not damage when inserting piston
9 Protective cap for 28 mm piston
• Do not damage when inserting piston
10 Support plate
11 Bolt, 6 Nm
12 Connecting line, 17 Nm
