Lock Carrier Service Position

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Support Tool (3369)

• Do not remove noise insulation, only loosen front quick release screws => [ (Item 1) Quick release screw ] Noise Insulation Panel Assembly Overview.





- Remove bumper => [ Front Bumper, from MY 2006 ] [1][2]Front Bumper, Assembly Overview.

- Remove engine cover - 2 - and - 3 -.

- Unscrew intake air duct between lock carrier and air cleaner housing at lock carrier and remove.

- Install Support Tool (3369) at left and right as shown.





- Remove bolts - 5 - at left and right.

- Remove bolts - 4 - and pull lock carrier - 1 - toward front.

- Pull lock carrier forward until rear hole in lock carrier aligns with front threaded hole in fender flange.

- Secure lock carrier at left and right with bolts - arrow -.





Assembly is performed in the reverse order of removal.

Tightening torques => [ Lock Carrier with Attachments Assembly Overview ] Lock Carrier With Attachments Assembly Overview.

• After assembly of lock carrier, check headlight positioning and adjust if necessary.
