Tunnel crossmember, removing and installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required





^ Engine/transmission jack V.A.G 1383 A
^ Torque wrench V.A.G 1331
^ Torque wrench V.A.G 1332

Removing

- Remove sound insulation.





- Remove combi-bolts - arrows -
- Support transmission with engine and transmission jack V.A.G 1383 A and a wooden block.





- Remove bolts - 1 - and - 2 -.
- Remove tunnel crossmember

Installing





- Tighten combi-bolt - 1 - to 110 Nm +90 degrees.

Use new washer and bolt.

- Tighten combi-bolt - 2 - to 65 Nm.





- Tighten combi-bolts - arrows - to 23 Nm.
- Install sound insulation.
