Symphony Radio

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Radio Removal Tool (T10057)

- If the Radio (R) is being replaced, select "replace" for each control module in "Guided Fault Finding".

Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) to do so.

- Activate transport mode in "symphony II+".

- Turn off all electrical consumers.

- Remove ignition key.

Removing

- Insert Radio Removal Tool (T10057) in release slits on Radio (R) until they engage. Points on grip eyes face outward.





- Remove the Radio (R) from the instrument panel at the Radio Removal Tool (T10057) grip eyes.

- Release connectors at Radio (R) and remove.

- Remove Radio Removal Tool (T10057) by pressing locking tabs on Radio (R).

Installing

- Connect all harness connectors.

- Carefully slide Radio (R) into instrument panel and let it engage in mounting frame.

- Deactivate transport mode in "symphony II". Refer to => [ Radio System Symphony II, Activating/Deactivating ] Component Tests and General Diagnostics.
