Accessory Bracket
Removing
- Drain coolant.
- Remove ribbed belt.
- Remove generator.
- Disconnect solenoid clutch electrical connector -1- on A/C compressor.
CAUTION: Risk of injury from refrigerant.
^ The air conditioning refrigerant circuit must not be opened.
- Remove A/C compressor bolts -arrows-.
CAUTION: Risk of damaging coolant lines and hoses.
^ Do not stretch, kink or bend coolant lines and hoses.
- Tie up the compressor with the refrigerant lines attached to the longitudinal member.
- Remove the bolt -arrow- for the oil dipstick guide tube.
- Remove the bolts - 1 through 5- and pull off the accessory bracket from the coolant pump housing.
Installing
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:
Note:
^ Replace bolts which have been tightened to specifications.
^ Replace the O-rings and seals.
- Coat the O-rings - 4- with coolant additive.
- Install the connection -2- into the coolant pump housing -3-.
- Press the accessory bracket -1- onto the connection, mount the bolts and tighten.
- Install A/C compressor.
- Install generator.
- Install ribbed belt.
- Fill with coolant.
