Brake Pedal Bracket

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Release tool (T40024)

Removing

- Remove the storage compartment on the driver's side.

- Loosen the anti-rotation device (socket head bolt) - 3 - on the bracket.





- Press the connector - 2 - together in the direction of the - arrows - and detach the brake light switch.





- Rotate the brake light switch - 1 - 45 degrees in a counterclockwise direction and remove.





- Use release tool (T40024) to separate the brake pedal from the brake booster.





- Remove the circlip - 1 - on right side.





- Pull the pin far enough out to release the brake pedal.

- Remove the brake pedal.

Installing

- Insert the pin through the brake pedal.

- Only tighten the anti-rotation device (socket head bolt) until the retaining clips have been installed.

- Install the anti-rotation device (socket head bolt) - 3 - onto the bracket.





- Install the brake light switch. Refer to => [ Brake Lamp Switch ] Service and Repair.

Further installation is in the reverse order of removal.
