Brake Pedal Assembly Overview

CAUTION!
The brake pedal travel must not be restricted/shortened by additional floor coverings.





1 - Instrument panel crossmember

2 - Retaining clip (2x)

• Always replace.

• Install onto pin.

3 - Pin

• Insert into clutch pedal and brake pedal.

• Lock pin in pedal.

4 - Mounting bracket

• Accelerator pedal stop plate.

5 - Bolt, 10 Nm

6 - Accelerator pedal

• Bolt onto pedal bracket.

7 - Bolt, 25 Nm

• Tighten in vehicle after brake booster has been installed.

8 - Brake light switch

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Brake Lamp Switch ] Service and Repair.

9 - Clutch switch

10 - Bolts, 5 Nm

• Must engage in recess of pin.

• Do not tighten bolt until retaining clips have been installed.

11 - Bolt, 20 Nm

• Always replace.

12 - Brake pedal

• Install pin.

• Engage brake pedal in brake booster (you should hear it click into place).

13 - Master cylinder

• Seal must not be removed.

14 - Spring

• White spring mounting to pedal bracket, black spring mounting to clutch pedal

15 - Retainer

16 - Clutch pedal

• Secured by adjusting clutch master cylinder.

• Push onto pin.

17 - Pin

• Install pedal bracket onto pin.
