70 Luggage compartment cover comes loose while driving
Condition
The luggage compartment cover comes loose from its extended position while driving on rough roads. It can then fold unintentionally to its retracted position.
Technical Background
The pins of the cover can be jarred loose from the journals in the side trim panels.
Production Solution
No change.

1. A new bracket kit (8E9 898 661 4PK) must be installed into the journals of the left and right side luggage compartment trim.
Figure 3:
1. Remove the existing screws and install the brackets using the new screws supplied in the kit (Figure 3).
