Roof Grab Handle, Removing And Installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required







- Torque wrench V.A.G 1783

Removing







- Open covers - 3 -.
- Remove bolts - 2 -.
Tightening torque: 3.5 Nm
- Remove roof grab handle - 1 -.

NOTE:
- Threaded holes for roof grab handle must be cleaned of locking compound residue after removal. Otherwise, new screws could lock up when installed and shear off when removed again.
- They can be cleaned with a thread cutter.
- Replace roof grab handle screws (self-locking).

Installing
Installation is reverse of removal.
