Roof Grab Handle

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1783)





Removing

- Open covers - 3 -.





- Remove the bolts - 2 -.

Tightening specification: 3.5 Nm

- Remove roof grab handle - 1 -.

• Threaded holes for roof grab handle must be cleaned of locking compound residue after removal. Otherwise, new screws could lock up when installed and shear off when removed again.

• They can be cleaned with a thread cutter.

• Replace roof grab handle screws (self-locking).

Installing

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.
