Front Ashtray, Removing And Installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required







- Torque wrench V.A.G 1410







1 - Front ashtray

- Removal:
- Remove radio about 10 mm out of radio installation opening.
- Remove A/C control head E87.
- Open front ashtray.
- Remove front ashtray insert.
- Vehicles with manual transmission: Pry shift cover up and remove selector lever boot.
- Vehicles with automatic transmission: Pry shift cover upward.
- Remove bolts - 2 - on ash tray.
- Remove front ashtray upward.
- Disconnect electrical connector.
- Disengage trim - 3 - from ashtray.
- Unclip storage compartment trim - 4 -.

- Installing:
Installation is reverse of removal.

2 - Screws, (2x)
- Tightening torque 5 Nm
3 - Ashtray trim
4 - Storage compartment trim
