Parking Aid System

General Information

The optional parking aid system (also know as "Acoustic park assist" or "Parktronic(R)") is only available as a 4-channel system that monitors the area to the rear of the vehicle.

The system is activated automatically whenever the vehicle is shifted into reverse.

Before troubleshooting or servicing, technicians must be familiar with the functions and operation specifics of the parking aid system. Always read the owner's manual and review applicable system functions and operation limitations.

Rear Parking Aid Warning Buzzer, Avant

• Location: In left rear luggage compartment under side trim

Removing

- Remove left side trim.

- Disconnect electrical connection.

- Remove expander clip threaded pin using a TORX screwdriver.

- Remove warning buzzer - arrow - upward.





Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

- Press threaded pins into expander clips.

- Install left side trim.
