Triple Roller Joint Outer Constant Velocity Joint (Front)



Outer constant velocity joint, servicing

Removing outer constant velocity joint
- Clamp drive axle in vise using jaw protectors.
- Remove clamp and push back boot.





- Screw pressure spindle 3207, using M16/M14 threaded section, into joint bolt until CV joint is pressed off drive axle.
- Remove securing ring

Installing outer CV joint
- Push CV joint boot onto drive axle.

Boot and seating surface for boot on drive axle must be free of grease.
- Install new circlip.

Always replace circlip.
- Pack 50 grams of drive axle grease inside joint body.
- Thread old bolt into CV joint as shown.





- Use plastic hammer to drive CV joint onto drive axle until circlip engages.
- Put 40 grams of drive axle grease into joint on boot side.

- Ventilate CV boot briefly to equalize pressure.
- Tighten clamp.
