Transmission housing and shift mechanism, (transmission as of approx. 04.2003), removing and installing, 02M/02Y, 5 & 6 Speed M/T, AWD





1 - Conical head bolt, 25 Nm

2 - Flanged shaft with compression spring

3 - Cap

4 - Circlip

5 - Back-up light switch F4
^ Tighten to 20 Nm

6 - Seal
^ Replace

7 - Oil drain plug
^ Different versions
^ Tighten hex socket bolt to 30 Nm
^ Tighten head socket bolt to 45 Nm

8 - Seal
^ Replace

9 - Mounting screw, 30 Nm
^ For selector shaft

10 - Hex bolt, 15 Nm plus an additional 90° (1/4 turn)
^ With permanent washer
^ Always replace

11 - Hex bolt, 15 Nm plus an additional 90° (1/4 turn)
^ Without washer
^ Always replace

12 - Shift mechanism
^ Removing with installed transmission:
^ Remove battery and battery holder
^ Remove cables and lever for selector shaft
^ Unscrew mounting screw, unscrew shift mechanism from transmission

13 - Hex bolt, 20 Nm
^ Replace

14 - O-ring
^ Replace

15 - Clutch housing

16 - Transmission housing





Various locking bolts for oil drain hole and oil filler hole
I - Socket head locking bolt, 45 Nm
II - Hex socket locking bolt, 30 Nm
