O-ring for drive pinion housing / Haldex clutch (final drive removed), replacing





Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
^ Holding plate VW 309
^ Transmission support VW 353
^ Torque wrench V.A.G 1331/

Removing





- Clamp rear final drive in assembly fixture.





- Remove all securing nuts for drive pinion housing - arrows -.

Note: The illustration only shows 3 of the 8 nuts.





- Remove drive pinion housing, install hex bolts - A - uniformly while doing so, so that housing is not canted.





- Then remove O-ring - A -.
