Oil level in Haldex clutch, checking
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
^ Torque wrench V.A.G 1331
^ Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing, and Information System VAS 5051 B and Vehicle Diagnostic and Service Information System VAS 5052
^ Diagnostic cable, 3 m with power supply 3 m VAS 5051/1 or Diagnostic cable, 5 m without power supply VAS 5051/3
- Connect Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing, and Information System VAS 5051 B.
- Select "Vehicle Self-Diagnosis" on display.
- Select "22 - All Wheel Drive Electronics" on display.
- Select "08 - Read Measuring Value Block" on display.
- Select "Measured Value Block 2" on display.
- Read oil temperature in display field 2.
^ Oil temperature must be 20 to 40° C.
^ Oil temperature can be obtained by driving vehicle to warm it.
- Remove oil check plug - arrow -.
Oil level is correct when Haldex clutch is filled up to lower edge of check hole or up to a minimum of approx. 3 mm below lower edge of check hole.
- Install bolt - arrow - and tighten to 30 Nm.
- If oil level is not correct, oil level in Haldex clutch must be changed Oil in Haldex clutch, changing.
