Oil in Haldex clutch, changing
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
^ Torque wrench V.A.G 1331
^ Cartridge Gun V.A.G 1628
^ Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing, and Information System VAS 5051 B and Vehicle Diagnostic and Service Information System VAS 5052
^ Diagnostic cable, 3 m with power supply 3m VAS 5051/1 or Diagnostic cable, 5 m without power supply VAS 5051/3
^ High performance oil for Haldex clutch container size 0.25 L - G 052 175 A1.
- Connect Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing, and Information System VAS 5051 B.
- Select "Vehicle Self-Diagnosis" on display.
- Select "22 - All Wheel Drive Electronics" on display.
- Select "08 - Read Measuring Value Block" on display.
- Select "Measured Value Block 2" on display.
- Read oil temperature in display field 2.
^ Oil temperature must be 20 to 40° C.
^ Oil temperature can be obtained by driving vehicle to warm it.
- Place reservoir underneath.
- Remove drain plug - arrow - and drain oil completely.
- Insert cartridge of 0.25 L oil into cartridge gun V.A.G 1628.
- Keep drain plug with new seal ready.
- Guide Cartridge Gun V.A.G 1628 vertically into drain hole - arrow -.
- Pump oil completely into Haldex clutch.
- Withdraw Cartridge Gun V.A.G 1628 and immediately thread in drain plug with new seal and tighten to tightening torque.
- Check oil level in Haldex clutch.
