Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) -K83-, Checking

Function test of warning lamp
- Switch ignition on.
- Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) must light up
- Start engine.
- Shortly after engine is started, the MIL will go out if there are no malfunctions stored in the DTC memory that relate to the system

NOTE: The switch-on signal for the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) is transferred from the Engine Control Module (ECM) to the instrument cluster via CAN-bus. Check the data exchange between the Engine Control Module (ECM) and other CAN-capable control modules.
