Selector Lever Handle, Removing and Installing

Selector lever handle, removing and installing, 09G, 6 Speed A/T

Removing
- Shift selector lever into position "D".





- Push sleeve - 1 - downward.
- Pull button - 2 - out of handle - 3 - as far as limit stop (arrow).
- Secure button against springing back, e.g. with a wire bracket - 4 -.
- Disconnect handle from selector lever.

Installing
- Shift selector lever into position "D".





- Pull button - 2 - out of handle - 3 - as far as limit stop (arrow).
- Secure button against springing back, e.g. with a wire bracket - 4 -.
- Press handle onto selector lever up to limit stop.

Installation position: Button points towards driver.
- Remove wire bracket.
- Press button to lock cable lever - 5 - in pull rod - 6 -.

Button should then spring back to limit stop.
- Push sleeve - 1 - upward so that sleeve can be felt to engage with handle.
- Move selector lever to "P".
