Locking cable, adjusting, 09G, 6 Speed A/T

CAUTION! Adjustment of the locking cable must always be performed as described below.

Adjustment requirements
^ Locking cable in installation position
^ Rear center console removed.
^ Selector lever in "P" position.
^ Ignition key inserted and ignition switched off

Adjustment sequence
^ Steering column is in back/down position.





- Loosen bolt at support bracket.
- Install adjustment gauge 3352 A between locking lever - 1 - and locking cable eye - 2 -.
- To compensate for play, pull support bracket up to limit stop in direction of arrow.

It must be possible to remove and insert adjustment gauge 3352 A easily in this position.





- Tighten bolt at support bracket (10 Nm).
- Remove setting bar.
- Check function of ignition key removal lock.
