Power steering gear, draining

Note: Room temperature must be at least 20°C when draining steering gear.





- Turn steering pinion in direction of - arrow - until stop.





- Clamp steering gear horizontally in a vise.
- Place appropriate receptacle underneath steering gear.
- Saw off steering gear at point indicated by - arrow A -.
- Hold the opened steering gear over the drip tray and allow the hydraulic fluid to drain. If necessary, turn the steering pinion to the opposite stop.
