Brake Booster, Removing and Installing
Removing
- Release brake booster vacuum by operating the brake pedal several times.
- Remove brake master cylinder.
- Pull vacuum hose off brake booster unit.
- Disconnect electrical connector from brake booster if part of original equipment.
- Remove storage compartment on drivers side.
- Remove bolts -1-.
- Remove cover -A-.
- Separate brake pedal from brake booster
- Remove nuts - arrows
- Remove brake booster.
Installing
Install in reverse sequence; note the following points:
- Mount brake pedal on brake booster.
- Install brake master cylinder.
- Bleed brake system.
- Bleed hydraulic system for clutch.
- Initiate basic settings for brake pressure senders.
- Perform ESP road test on vehicles with ABS/ESP Mark 60 system. ABS/ESP Components, ITT Mark 60
