Spoiler, Removing

NOTE: Coupe vehicles must have rear lid trim disassembled.

- Remove spoiler retainer nuts.







- Mask off rear lid - 2 - in area around spoiler - 1 -.







- Using marker pen, mark area of (on spoiler edge) four studs fastening spoiler - 1 - to lid.







- Pull cutting tool V.A.G 1351 with wire - 1 - at angle under spoiler.
- Cut adhesive from outer edge by pulling wire towards first stud.







- Wedge plastic spacer - 2 - under spoiler at angle.
- Place cutting wire - 3 - under spoiler - 1 - in area past first stud (outer marking) and cut through adhesive to next stud.







- Pull cutting wire in direction of arrows to middle stud.
- Repeat cutting action from other side starting at outside edge and working to center as before to fully cut spoiler - 1 - free.
- Slowly remove spoiler from lid.
