Loudspeakers, Removing And Installing

Mid-range/bass speaker, removing and installing

Removing
- Remove door trim.







- Carefully detach insulation material around mid-range/bass loudspeaker from back of door trim.
- Unplug electrical connector -1- on mid-range/bass loudspeaker -2-.
- Remove screws -arrows- on mid-range/bass loudspeaker -2- and detach loudspeaker from trim.

Installing
- Install in reverse order of removal.

Removing and installing treble loudspeaker

Removing
- Remove door trim







- Carefully detach insulation material from back of door trim.
- Follow soldered wire -1- from treble loudspeaker -3- back to row of connectors -2- (grey) and unplug electrical connector loudspeaker -3-.
- Press back clips -arrows- away from treble loudspeaker and detach loudspeaker from door trim.

Installing
- Install in reverse order of removal.

Removing and installing center loudspeaker

Removing







- Carefully detach left-hand cover -1- from defroster vent in dash panel.
- Unscrew retaining screws -2- (4x) on center loudspeaker -3-.
- Take loudspeaker out of mounting and unplug electrical connector -4-.

Installing
- Install in reverse order of removal.

Removing and installing mid-range/bass loudspeaker (broadband speaker) in rear side trim (coupe)

Removing
- Remove rear side trim.







- Remove screws -arrows- securing loudspeaker -1-.
- Unplug electrical connector -2- and take loudspeaker out of its mounting.

Installing
- Install in reverse order of removal.







Removing and installing mid-range/bass loudspeaker (broadband speaker) in rear side trim (Roadster)

Removing
- Remove rear panel side trim.







- Remove securing screws -2- (3 Nm) at speaker -1-.
- Disconnect electrical harness connector -5- and remove loudspeaker -1- from bracket -3-.
- Bracket -3- is secured to rear wall via screws -4- (2 Nm).

Installing
- Loudspeaker -1- must be installed so that the electrical harness connector -5- is positioned as shown.
- Install in reverse order of removal.

Removing and installing bass loudspeaker (subwoofer) below rear panel center trim (Roadster)

Removing
- Remove rear center panel trim.







- Remove bolts -2- (4x).
- Remove loudspeaker -1- and disconnect harness connector -5-.

Installing
- When installing, guide tab -3- into mount -4-.
- Install in reverse order of removal.
