Ultrasonic Interior Monitoring, On-Board Diagnostic (OBD)

DTC Table

NOTE:
- The table lists all the DTCs that can be recognized by the ultrasonic sensor module and printed out by the VAG 1551. The DTCs are listed in order according to their 5-digit code numbers.
- DTCs appear only on print-out.
- Before replacing a component shown as faulty, check wiring and connections to the component as well as Ground connections according to wiring diagram.
- After completing repair work, prime the system and deactivate it again. Then check and erase the DTC memory using VAG 1551 Scan tool.
- The DTC memory records all static and sporadic DTCs. When a malfunction occurs it is first identified as a static DTC. If it does not occur again it is registered as a sporadic DTC and the letters "/SP" will appear at the right of the display.
- When the system is primed, all existing DTCs are automatically re-classified as sporadic DTCs and will only register as static DTCs if they still occur after testing.
- If the priming sequence is repeated 50 times and an existing sporadic DTC no longer occurs, the DTC is erased.
