Level Control Solenoid Valve: Service and Repair






Central Valve

Removing





- Remove plastic cover - 1 -.

CAUTION!
Always wear safety goggles!

The DRC lines must be extracted before disconnecting them from the central valve. Refer to => [ Dynamic Ride Control, Emptying and Filling ] Service and Repair.

Perform this step on both wiring harnesses on the central valve.

- Remove union nuts - 9 - and - 10 - or - 11 - and - 12 -, depending on the central valve.

- Remove nuts - 2 - or - 5 -, depending on the central valve.





Installing

- Installation is in reverse order of removal. Observe the following when doing so:

Tightening specifications. Refer to => [ Central Valve and Bolted Connections to Suspension Struts ] Central Valve and Bolted Connections to Suspension Struts.

- Insert central valve.

- Install nuts.

- Install DRC line connections for the appropriate lines on the central valve.

The new central valve is filled and the shut-off valves are closed.

Only when a new central valve is installed: Open the shut-off screws => [ (Item 6) Left front wiring harness shut-off valve ] Central Valve and Bolted Connections to Suspension Struts and => [ (Item 7) Right rear wiring harness shut-off valve ] Central Valve and Bolted Connections to Suspension Struts or => [ (Item 3) Left rear wiring harness shut-off valve ] Central Valve and Bolted Connections to Suspension Struts and => [ (Item 4) Right front wiring harness shut-off valve ] Central Valve and Bolted Connections to Suspension Struts on the new central valve and secure them with a lock nut.

- Fill the DRC system. Refer to => [ Dynamic Ride Control, Emptying and Filling ] Service and Repair.
