Front Seat With Faulty Forward And Backward Seat Adjustment Motor Or Defective Control Unit, Removing And Installing

NOTE:
- If possible: Move seat up.
- For greater clarity, the illustration shows the seat pan without padding or backrest.







1 - Bolts (4x)
- Tightening torque 17 Nm
2 - Motor retaining plate
3 - Bolts (2x)
- Tightening torque 19 Nm
4 - Upper seat pan support
- Removing
- Remove bolts - 3 - (2x).
- Fold seat forwards.
- Remove bolts - 1 - (4x).
- Remove backrest with top support of seat pan.

- For faulty control unit:
- Disconnect connector at forward and backward seat adjustment motor.
- Move the forward and backward seat adjustment motor with an external power source until the bolts are visible.
- Remove bolts.
- Remove control unit.

- For faulty forward and backward seat adjustment motor:
- Disconnect connector - 3 -.
- Remove bolts - 4 - (2x) from forward and backward seat adjustment motor.
- Disengage forward and backward seat adjustment motor - 2 - from the two shafts - 1 - and - 5 -.
- Move both seat rails using a power screwdriver via the long shaft - 5 -, until the concealed bolts are visible.
- Remove bolts.
- Replace the lower seat support with forward and backward seat adjustment motor.
