Variable Convertible Top Compartment Toothed Gear

Removing

- Remove the variable convertible top compartment. Refer to => [ Variable Convertible Top Compartment ] Variable Convertible Top Compartment.

- Pull the carpet - 1 - (convertible top compartment trim) on the side to be changed until both screws are accessible - 2 -.





• Glue the carpet with D 001 200.

- Remove bolts - 2 - (Qty. 2).

• Tightening specification 4 Nm

- Separate the center part of the compartment - 3 - from the side panel - 4 -.

- Pull the side panel - 1 - and - 2 - apart from each other.





- Remove the screws - 3 - (Qty. 4) from the inner cover.

• Tightening specification 2 Nm

- Remove the inner cover - 1 -.

- Remove the screws - 1 - (Qty. 4) on both sides.





• Tightening specification 2 Nm.

- Pull the parts - 1 - and - 4 - upward and apart from each other.





- Pry out the guide rails - 3 - from the catch from part - 1 -.

- Separate the parts - 1 - and - 4 - from each other.

- Unlock the bracket on the rear side - 1 -.

- Pry out the bracket with a screwdriver - 1 -.





- Always replace the bracket - 1 -.

- Remove the toothed gear - 2 -.

- Disengage release - 3 -.

Installing

Toothed gear and cable for the right side.

- Engage the cable - 2 - in the long groove and route the cable - 2 - into the groove - 3 -.





- The groove - 4 - stays open.

Toothed gear and cable for the left side.

- Engage the cable - 2 - in the long groove and route the cable - 2 - into the groove - 4 -.





- Engage the cable for the right side into the short give and then place the cable - 5 - into the groove - 3 - (the cables lay opposite).

continue with all

- Press the toothed gear - 2 - on the guide.





- Install the new bracket - 1 -.

- The toothed gear - 2 - must be horizontal when installed.

- The part - 4 - must fit into the lower guide rails - 3 - on the rubber buffers.





- Be careful not to press the micro switch on the right side. When doing this, pull the part - 4 - upward slightly.

- Press the part - 4 - downward again.

- When folding it together, the toothed gear - 5 - must be horizontal. Fold the parts together in the lowest position.

- Push the outer part of the guide rail - 3 - upward and lock the protrusions.

- Remaining installation is in reversed sequence.
