^ The housings of the manual transmissions installed in the Audi TT are made out of a magnesium alloy.
^ Bolts and other components which come into direct contact with the transmission have a surface coating which is adapted to transmission housings made out of magnesium.
^ Contact corrosion occurs when incorrect components (bolts, nuts, washer) are used. Transmission housing will be damaged.
^ If you have doubts about the reusability of parts, install new parts.
