Pressing off constant velocity (CV) joint
Pressing on CV joint
- Press on carefully.
- Tighten press block V.A.G 40-204A, drive shaft must not be pressed downward, otherwise there may be damage to paint.
- In case of damage to paint, repair as follows: Remove grease residue using nitro-thinner L 001 600. Apply 2-component acrylic paint ALN 769 041 with hardener ALZ 009 001.

- Intermediate bearing rubber guide must be cut through and steel jacket removed.
Installation position of intermediate bearing
Longer brace - A - points in direction of travel - arrow - toward left
Drive on intermediate bearing
- Drive intermediate bearing on to stop.
