Locking Cable, Adjusting

CAUTION: Locking cable must be adjusted exactly according to the following description.

Adjustment requirements:
- Locking cable in installation position
- Rear center console removed.
- Selector lever in "P" position.
- Ignition key in removal position.

Adjusting Procedure:
- Steering column is in rear/lower position.







- Loosen screw on bracket.
- Insert adjusting gauge 3352 A between locking lever -1 - and locking cable eye - 2 -.
- For play compensation, pull bracket in direction of arrow until stop.
- It must be easy to guide adjusting gauge 3352 A into and out of this position.







- Tighten screws on bracket (10 Nm).
- Remove adjusting gauge.
- Ignition key removal lock, checking function.
