Transmission, installing, 09G, 6 Speed A/T
Installation is in reverse order. Note the following:

- Before installing transmission, ensure that torque converter has been correctly inserted into transmission.

CAUTION! If the torque converter is not installed correctly, the torque converter drive plate or the ATF pump will be seriously damaged when the transmission is joined to the engine.

- Before installing, ensure that dowel sleeves are correctly located.

A: Centering sleeves

- Install all engine/transmission connecting bolts.

- Install 6 nuts (arrow) for securing torque converter at drive plate.

Note:
^ The nuts must always be replaced.
^ Turn crankshaft 60° each time.

Install subframe mounting as follows:

- Position transmission console -A- between transmission and transmission mounting.
- Raise transmission to transmission support using spindle of support bar.

CAUTION! Before screwing in the bolts of the transmission support/transmission console, support and console must be absolutely parallel to each other, otherwise the thread will be damaged. If necessary, raise transmission at rear with trolley jack.

- Install transmission console -A-.

CAUTION! Support bar 10-222A must not be removed until all bolts on left and right of subframe mount have been tightened to specified torque.

- Install pendulum support -A-.
- Install drive shafts:

- If installed, remove headlight range control bracket on left of wheel housing (arrows).
- Install battery:
- After connecting battery observe necessary measures.
- Check and top off ATF level.
- Check selector lever cable adjustment, adjust if necessary.
- Check coolant level in cooling system:
- Close windows fully using window switches.
- Actuate all window switches again for at least one second in "close" direction to activate automatic open/close function.
- Set clock to correct time.
- Enter radio code.
