- Secure transmission to engine and transmission bracket VW 540 (arrows) and insert into vice VW 313.

Note: Workshop crane V.A.G 1202 A may be used for installation see Transmission, transporting.

CAUTION! The center of gravity of the transmission is outside the pivot center of the clamping support. A second mechanic has to hold the transmission housing when it is being turned to prevent it from swinging around.

Note: If the transmission is full and it is to be tilted in the repair stand with the oil pan pointing upward, the vent holes at the transmission housing must be sealed.
