Selector shaft sealing ring, replacing

Special tools and equipment





^ T10174 Thrust piece





^ V.A.G 1331 Torque wrench

Removing





- Remove multi-function TR switch -A-.





- Remove seal with a screwdriver without damaging selector shaft.

Installing
Installation is performed in the reverse order; note the following:
- Lightly lubricate outer circumference and sealing lips of sealing ring with ATF.
^ Installation position: Open side of sealing ring faces transmission.





- Drive new sealing ring in up to stop of thrust piece, making sure sealing ring goes on straight.





- Install and adjust Multi-function TR switch - F125 - -A-.
