Trailing Arm Bushing: Service and Repair



Trailing arm bushing, removing and installing





Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
^ Assembly tool 3301
^ Support arm bearing installation tool 3346
^ Assembly tool 3348/1
^ Tube T10030/2

Removing
- First remove spring.





- Remove brake line bracket - 1 - from trailing arm.





- Unclip brake line from brackets - arrows -.
- Mark position of mounting bracket on body.





- Remove mounting bracket from body.
- Mark position of mounting bracket in relation to trailing arm (with felt tip pen or similar).

Remove bonded rubber bushing from trailing arm
- Attach tools as shown in illustration.
- Pull out bonded rubber bushing by turning spindle.

Installing bonded rubber bushing
- Attach tools as shown in illustration.





- Pull in bonded rubber bushing by turning the spindle.

Installing trailing arm
Installation is carried out in reverse sequence.

If the position of the mounting bracket in relation to the trailing arm was not marked, the correct position must be determined.
