There is no provision for repairing the power steering pump. In the event of problems, trace the malfunction by performing a leak test and pressure test. If there is a malfunction, replace the power steering pump.

Note:
^ Replacement pumps are not filled with fluid. It is essential to fill the pump with hydraulic fluid G002000 and to rotate the pump by hand before installing, otherwise the pump may be damaged or be noisy during operation.
^ Quantity of fluid in system: 0.7 to 0.9 ltr.
^ Do not reuse hydraulic fluid which has been drained off.
^ Always replace seals.
^ Dispose of used components properly
^ The following illustration shows the belt drive on vehicles without air conditioner.
^ Before removing the ribbed belt, mark the direction of rotation. A used belt can break if it runs in the opposite direction. Make sure that the belt is properly seated in the pulleys.
