Secondary Air Injection System Components, Removing And Installing

Checking secondary air injection system.

A - Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump motor







- Loosen bolt -1- approx. two rotations from engine compartment top (visible through opening of dip stick at bracket of intake manifold).

NOTE: Diagram illustrates the bracket and Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump on an uninstalled engine for photo/technical reasons.







- Remove center sound insulation.







- Disconnect connector and hoses at Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump.







- Remove bolts -2- and -3- of bracket for Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump.
- Swing bracket to side and remove Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump downward.

B - Combination valve







- Remove engine cover.







- Remove vacuum hose -1- and connecting line -2- at combination valve.
- Remove combination valve from bracket (arrows).
