Expansion Valve, Removing and Installing
Expansion Valve, Removing And Installing
- Discharge refrigerant circuit
- Remove refrigerant pipes from expansion valve.
- Remove screw -A-, tightening torque 8 Nm (71 in lb).
- Remove expansion valve -B-.
- Remove threaded plate -E-.
NOTE:
- Always replace both O-rings -C- (14.0 mm; 1.8 mm) and -D- (10.8 mm; 1.8 mm).
- Seal off open connections on the evaporator.
- When installing expansion valve, ensure the expansion valve insulation is properly in place, and is not damaged.
- Due to the thermo-dynamic design of the expansion valve, the operating parameters of the valve are adversely affected when the insulation is missing or improperly installed. A decrease in cooling efficiency will result.
