Hydraulic Control Unit, Servicing
Servicing the hydraulic control unit is possible only by separating the control module - J104 - from hydraulic unit - N55 -, which is connected to hydraulic pump - V64 -. Faulty components can then be replaced.
-a- Hydraulic unit - N55 - and hydraulic pump - V64 -
^ Hydraulic unit: valve block contains control valves.
^ Hydraulic pump - V64 - and valve block must not be separated from each other.
Conditions for warranty claims
When changing the hydraulic unit:
- Place transport protection for valve dome on the original unit.
- Seal the original unit using plugs.
-b- Control module for ABS - J104-:
^ Multi - pin connector. Terminal see Electrical Testing. Testing and Inspection
^ Testing multi-pin connector for control module see Electrical Testing. Testing and Inspection
Disassembling hydraulic control unit
- Disconnect connector for hydraulic pump motor from control module.
- Remove bolts from control module and remove control module.
Notes: When removing the control module - b - make sure that the control module pulled away evenly and is not tilted in relationship to the hydraulic unit.
- Cover magnetic coils of the control module with a lint - free cloth.
- After separating the hydraulic unit from control module, fit transportation protection - 1 - of repair set 1HO 698 311 A on the valve domes.
Attaching the hydraulic unit and control module to the hydraulic unit
Note: There must not be any contamination/dirt around the control module/valve block.
- Bolt the control module to the hydraulic unit. Observe tightening torque, max 4 Nm (always use original bolts.
- Connect of hydraulic pump motor.
