Halogen Headlamps

Observe notes on contact corrosion. Refer to => [ Contact Corrosion ] Service Precautions.

• Adjust the headlamps after performing any work that could have affected their adjustment.

Preparing to Work on Headlamps

Depending on the engine version, access to the headlamp bulbs could be obstructed. If necessary, additional steps must be performed.

Power Steering Fluid Reservoir, Removing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Oil extractor (V.A.G 1782)

Procedure

- Use (V.A.G 1782) to draw off power steering hydraulic fluid from reservoir.

• Place a rag under reservoir for power steering to catch escaping hydraulic fluid.

- Remove power steering reservoir.

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Top up power steering fluid and bleed steering system.

Air Filter Housing Upper Section, Removing

Procedure





- Detach air hose - 2 - at air cleaner housing.

- Disconnect electrical connector - 3 -.

- Remove bolts - arrows - and detach top right section of air cleaner housing.

- Remove connecting hose - 1 -.

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

• Secure all hose connections using standard hose clamps.
