Rear Three-Point Seat Belts with Tensioners, Checking Belt Fastening Detection

- Close Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051 A) and tap "15 - Airbag" in vehicle system selection. The ignition must be switched on.

- Read out display group 004 measured value block.

Belt webbing is fully extended, (VAS 5051) indicates -No-.





Belt tongue is engaged in buckle and belt webbing is extended by dimension -L-, (VAS 5051) indicates -Yes-.

Dimension -L- is 350 mm in for left and right seatbelts.

Dimension -L- is 350 mm in for center seatbelts.

Then pull belt out completely as far as stop. (VAS 5051) must continue to display -Yes- while belt is being extended.

Extend belt to dimension -L-, without unlocking belt buckle. (VAS 5051) must continue to indicate -Yes-.

Release the locking tongue and slowly roll belt webbing up. The display must change from -Yes- to -No- at a remaining length of 100 mm at the latest.

Belt webbing is fully extended, (VAS 5051) indicates -No-.
