Assembly overview





1 - Drive motor for closing assist with noise insulation.

• Installed behind starter battery in right rear side panel.

2 - Release cable

• Routed as shown

3 - Lock plate with closing assist

CAUTION!
Lock plate must only be installed in "rear lid closed position ". If lock plate is installed in lid open position and lid is brought into installation position (lid closed), rear lid closing assist may be damaged during closing procedure due to high closing force.

• Adjusting => [ Lock plate with closing assist ].

- When installing a new lock plate - 2 - or a new drive motor, insert lock plate into vehicle only in the position "lid closed " (in the condition delivered).

- Tighten nuts - 1 - and hex bolt - 3 - to 10 Nm.

- Now, close rear lid.

- With rear lid closed, measure projection at side panel.

- Open rear lid and move lock plate to the measured amount.

- Close rear lid, check position at side panel and perform correction if necessary.

- Fine adjustment can be performed with adjustment screw - 4 -.
